VISUAL

Squidward is in fact, an octopus who happens to be named Squidward for some reason - it's Word of God, people! He's a bit large for playability purposes, standing at 5'8". His skin is as bulbous as you'd expect, and he doesn't stray far from the descriptor of marine life. He has four legs and two tentacles, which manage to be pretty dexterous, all things considered. He wears a non-descript brown collared shirt, and his most striking physical feature is his bulbous nose.

More importantly, Squidward has been fitted with a large glass water helmet, akin to a fish bowl. This is similar to the image pictured above. His room has an aquarium-like bed, allowing him to be without the helmet for period of time, albeit inconveniently.

AURAL

Squidward has a very distinct and nasally voice, and it is reflected in his posture and demeanor. His eyelids are near-always narrowed, save for when he is enthusiastic about something, which is not very often. He derives pleasure from both his passions and the express misery/humiliation of those he despises, and outside this, is mostly mundane in voice and tone.

OTHER

Squidward does smell a little like fish! Not too strong, however, as he has a habit of overusing cologne. That's probably more noticable than any other smell about him.
